Hey, Grace'rs,

A big thanks to those of you who attended the Michael Gurian event last Thursday night.  We had around 120 teachers at the afternoon teacher training event and about 200 people at the evening event.  I've heard from many of you how helpful Michael's presentation was.  A big thanks to DeeDee for her work in promoting the event, to Lisa for her great publicity materials, to Barb and Larry for getting flyers to some of the schools, and, as always, your staff for tying all of the loose pieces together.

This Sunday, as we continue the journey to the center of our souls, we're ramping up a multi-sermon look at our emotions.  Good stuff has been happening these last few weeks as we've been focusing on how grace transforms us from the inside out.  I'm really excited about the next several weeks as we turn to our God-given emotions.  We've got some fun things planned this weekend to get us started.  Families A-F are up for the food table.  And since this is Souper-Bowl Sunday, please bring some non-perishable food items.

New Refugee Resettlement Cluster Forming
Jill Coughlin will be leading The Refugee Resettlement Cluster.  This cluster works with refugees as they settle into cities in Arizona.  They begin to help the families by setting up their apartment and finding items for the apartments so they're ready when they arrive.  They then meet them at the airport so they are greeted by a friendly face.  They also provide rides to appointments and make regular visit to the family.  There are a variety of things to do; if you are interested in helping with this cluster please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.

Meeting of the Congregation, Sunday, Feb. 28
We will spend a few minutes at the end of both services approving our 2009 year end financial report.  I will be sending out a brief report the week prior to the meeting.

5 Year Anniversary--Sunday evening, March 25
Can you believe it's been five years since we launched Grace?  And what a fifth year it's shaping up to be.  So we're going to celebrate on Sunday, March 25, at 5 with a potluck dinner.  More details to come.

I'll be praying for you on Friday.  Please send any prayer requests to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   And remember to take some time to pray through the Prayer of St. Francis on Friday.

It's a Super Sunday of Grace this weekend.  See you then.
