Burmese Refugee Family

Over the past several months, we have been hearing a lot about Burma and the struggles that the people there must endure. After the devastating cyclone, when foreign aid was rejected by their government, we were made all too aware of the plight of these people who have been persecuted and abandoned by their leaders. We are excited to announce that we will be sponsoring a refugee family from Burma, and they will be arriving on July 8. It is a family of five, with a Mom, Dad, 17-year-old son and two daughters, age 11 and 7. Ah Mee (Mom), Ah Gate (Dad), Po Lone (son), Ya Min and Mya Min (daughters) are anxious about their new life in America, and we would like to be sure that the apartment is prepared for their arrival and will make them feel welcomed.
