Mission and Ministry The West Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop (WVLTS) is a non-profit second-hand store that provides bargain prices to customers and financial support to many west valley charities. The store offers a friendly shopping environment with fit-your-pocketbook prices. The store also offers daily specials for the bargain hunter looking for unique and unusual items. Items for sale include various antiques, books, clothing and accessories, furniture, hardware, kitchenware, sheets, tablecloths, towels, Art, Glassware, small appliances, tools, TV and stereo equipment, etc. The net earnings of the store help support many west valley social services and ministries of the Church. The store is staffed and managed entirely by volunteers, most of whom are members of the following west valley congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America:
The West Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop is open 6 days a week (Monday – Saturday) from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The store is located in the Sun Bowl Plaza, 10737 W. Peoria Ave, in Sun City (see map below). The store offers free pick-up of furniture plus large item delivery at a nominal fee. All other donated items may be dropped off at the store during regular business hours.
