Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances,
For this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

A Summer of Thanks-fullness - Gossip: a hard habit to break As we’re discovering during the "Summer of Thanks-fulness" many of our bad habits, like griping and gossiping, are hard to break. In fact they are almost like addictions. But judging by the amount of time we spend gossiping it might actually be better to say it’s an epidemic.
Few things energize and/or de-energize a congregation more than
building projects. In more than 24 years of ministry I’ve had the
chance to talk with several pastors over the years who have been
involved in building projects. I’ve learned that some projects rally
the congregation. Others tear apart congregations.
Over the past several months, we have been hearing a lot about Burma
and the struggles that the people there must endure. After the
devastating cyclone, when foreign aid was rejected by their government,
we were made all too aware of the plight of these people who have been
persecuted and abandoned by their leaders.
At Grace, we give a portion of what God has given us back to Him, not
because He needs it, or requires it of us, but because we believe it is
a form of worship, and will ultimately lead us closer to Him.
